Beauty repairs.
This is the concept that guides the development of the work of artist and architect Jaime Sicilia (Madrid 1970, Spain). As an artist he works on multidisciplinary projects with painting, sculpture, photography and video. His work is a reflection on colour, light, matter, space and time. Nature is primarily the subject and this is offered as a contemplative experience.
Jaime Sicilia works with these guiding principles in groups of works such as Mares, Amapolas, Wald, My amazonic journey and others, in which he repeatedly explores these guiding principles anew. We experience this particularly impressively in the two series Amapolas rojas & Amapols blancas, in which he captures the moment of space and time and leads us on the trail of the beauty of the imperfect (inperfecta), the incomplete.
